Our location that day had been Morro Bay, California. We drove Santa that is through beautiful Barbara the way in which there. We decided it was a town worth stopping at on the road right back through to do some sight seeing.

Quickly we had been back driving across the edge of the ocean once more. That was always our part that is favorite of drive. We made it to quaint, lovely, Morro Bay at the beginning of the afternoon. We went sight seeing there immediately. We saw the famous giant stone formations coming out of the ocean, and people surfing nearby. The wind had been blowing very difficult and it had been surprisingly cool enough for our jackets. We had had the impression that all of California was sunny and hot. Not true! It is frigid and sunny at times!

We then decided to take a drive that is short further north up the coast for the look at some other sights. The scenery became a lot more beautiful even as we drove north. The breakers coming from the ocean onto the beaches were awesome! We saw walrus seals and a stunning lighthouse. We came across some interesting individuals to see with during the overlook that is scenic. So we didn't venture any further as we drove north, we saw a heavy fog was rolling in. We returned to our quaint hotel room and rested a while.

We dined in the harbor at Morro Bay that evening at a great seafood restaurant and came across some nice German people sitting at a table that is nearby. These people were touring the coast that is west a bus journey. They are able to perhaps not talk much English, but they were extremely friendly and comical. We communicated no matter what the language barrier.

The next morning, we decided that San Francisco was just too far north for these middle aged travelers to go after souvenir shopping. We decided to slow a bit down and start sight seeing on our way back south toward San Diego on the Highway 101 needless to say!
